Dress: Rosa by L’amour
Victorian Era fashion is often thought of as synonymous with Romance. So what place do such styles elements have in modern-day Bridal attire? If that is a question that you find intriguing, let us introduce you to Rosa by L’amour by Calla Blanche.
She begins with a silhouette of, what else, a ball gown. But this is no ordinary gown. She is constructed entirely of gorgeous Ivory lace and tulle. The floral pattern to the lace is delicate and beautiful and envelopes her corset-like, structured bodice.
From there, modern style takes over. Rather than covering your neck and shoulders, she has flirty spaghetti straps to hold the bodice up as it plunges into a narrow, deep “V” neckline. So much of your silky skin will be exposed including most of your back, where she teases your spouse-to-be with a robust, rounded “V” shape.
There is so much more, though. Think about Victorian ball gowns. The volume of the skirt was formidable. She puts her modern spin on that, too with a dreamy, tiered, full skirt. It has magnificent movement as it flows into a breathtaking cascading train. The skirt is adorned at the waist, on each of the tiers and along the train with the same floral lace as the bodice, placed in thoughtful little bunches to catch the eye as you walk down the aisle.
Accessorizing her will be so much fun. You can go with classic jewelry and an elaborate updo for your hair. Maybe Victorian-like drop curls and a pendant. Or you can keep it fresh and modern with no necklace, a small but chic gem earring and long flowing hair. There is even a matching veil, if you so desire. Every choice you make will work with this dress. When you wear Rosa by L’amour by Calla Blanche, you are Beauty and Romance incarnate.
